Costa Panagos is Chief Executive Officer and board member of Q2
Solutions. Previously, Costa was senior vice president and global head of IQVIA’s Global Laboratories, which included its Central Laboratory, BioAnalytical and ADME operations as well as its Cardiac Safety Services organization. During his more than 15-year career at IQVIA, Costa has held several leadership roles within the company’s Sales and Customer Solutions Management Groups, including leading its Global Sales Operations organization as well as serving as global lead for several large, strategic accounts. Prior to IQVIA, Costa held various roles in the pharmaceutical division at Bayer.
Costa earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brown University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
Chief Commercial Officer
Annette Balog is the Chief Commercial Officer for Q2
Solutions, where she develops strategic and operational plans to drive the sales and marketing of healthcare products and services for Q2
Solutions’ biopharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics customers. Balog manages the global sales organizations, marketing and sales operations, for multiple laboratory service lines. Balog brings a 30-year track record in global healthcare-related strategy, sales, marketing and senior leadership. Prior to joining IQVIA, Balog was employed at Zeneca where she held various managerial positions in sales, marketing and managed health care services.
Annette earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State Polytechnic University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
Vice President, General Manager, EMEA
As vice president of EMEA Operations, Tony is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior, Tony was executive director of Global Operations for Quest Diagnostics' Central Laboratories business. Tony brings more than 28 years of experience in the diagnostics and central laboratory business to the joint venture.
Tony earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Finance and Computer Science from the State University of New York, Plattsburgh and earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Systems Administration from Union University, Graduate Management Institute, Schenectady, New York.
Chief Information Officer
Amir brings more than 20 years of experience in information technology with a unique focus in healthcare IT. He joins us from Xerox Services where he was most recently SVP and Chief Technology Officer of Government Healthcare Solutions. In this role, he was responsible for technology delivery of more than 1,000 technical professionals that served more than 25 Medicaid agencies in the US. Prior to this role, Amir held positions of increasing responsibility at UnitedHealth Group, Molina Healthcare, Affiliated Computer Services and Hewlett Packard.
Amir earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
Chief Financial Officer
Mike Fedock is Chief Financial Officer for Q2
Solutions. Fedock brings more than 18 years in the contract research organization and life science sector in finance and operational leadership roles. Previously, Fedock was VP, early phase development at ICON, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in finance overseeing the global Early Phase and Pharmacokinetic business units.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Drexel University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore.
Senior Vice President, Quality and Transformation
Eran Gordon is Senior Vice President of Quality and Transformation for Q2
Solutions. In this role, she drives enterprise initiatives and ensures the quality operations support these strategies. During her 12 years with IQVIA, Eran has held various roles in finance, corporate development, and customer sales. She began her career with KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP and maintains her Certified Public Accountant credentials.
Eran earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Patrice Hugo, Chief Scientific Officer at Q2
Solutions leads the company global scientific strategy and medical affairs, and is responsible for the scientific activities conducted in the central laboratory, and Specialty Testing centers of excellence worldwide. Prior to joining Q2
Solutions, Dr. Hugo was Associate Vice President and Chief Scientist at LabCorp/Covance Central Lab Division and Chief Scientific Officer at Clearstone Central Lab acquired by LabCorp. Previously, he worked at Procrea and Caprion as CSO and Executive VP R&D, respectively. He is author or co-author of more than 75 scientific manuscripts and has more than 25 years of biomarker experience.
Patrice earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Medicine/Immunology at McGill University and held post-doctoral positions at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Australia, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, USA.
Vice President, General Manager, Bioanalytical and ADME Services
Kevin Jones is the Vice President and General Manager for Bioanalytical and ADME services for Q2
Solutions. In this role Kevin is responsible for all operational aspects of our Bioanalytical and ADME Laboratories. Kevin brings more than 20 years of experience in supporting fee for service analytical laboratories. Previously Kevin was Executive Director, Chemistry Solutions for Covance where he held various senior leadership roles both in North America and Globally in which he was responsible for the operational oversight of multiple bioanalytical locations performing regulated bioanalysis clinical and non-clinical studies. Kevin began his career with AAIPharma leading teams responsible for Laboratory Operations, Sales and Commercial Support for GMP/GLP laboratory services.
Kevin earned a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and a Masters Of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Senior Vice President, Project Services
As senior vice president of Project Services, Caroline has leadership responsibilities for global Project Services – including Project Management, Data Management and Study Setup. Caroline joined IQVIA in 2014 as vice president of Project Services in Global Central Laboratories. Prior to IQVIA, Caroline was responsible for global project management, data management and investigator site support at Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp).
Caroline earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and her Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Vice President, General Manager, Americas
Brian O’Dwyer is the Vice President and General Manager of the Americas region for Q2
Solutions where he is responsible for all operational activity in North and South America. Brian has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and laboratory industry and has broad experience in the establishment, management, integration and restructuring of both business and commercial operations across the clinical research spectrum. Prior to joining Q2
Solutions in 2016, Brian served as senior vice president of the Eurofins Scientific central laboratory business. Prior to his role at Eurofins Scientific, Brian was senior vice president of Global Bioanalytical Services at ICON having previously led ICON’s Early Phase Clinical Division in Europe and served as their Group Financial Controller before that.
Brian earned a Bachelor of Business studies from Dublin City University, Ireland and is a professionally Certified Management Accountant.
Vice President, Global Head of Strategy
Guy Rachmuth, Ph.D. is the Global Head of Strategy for Q2
Solutions, where he leverages market and competitor trends to develop industry-leading strategy that supports Q2
Solutions’ goal of improving human health through innovation that transforms science and data into actionable medical insights. Previously, Dr. Rachmuth was a director of Corporate Strategic Services for IQVIA. Prior to joining IQVIA, Dr. Rachmuth directed corporate development and strategy for M*Modal, a $500M healthcare IT company. Dr. Rachmuth is an experienced entrepreneur, founding and leading several companies including HEALTHeME INC in 2009, a leading a mobile health company with a behavior health change technology focusing on obesity and chronic conditions.
Guy earned a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Biomedical Engineering under the Harvard/MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) program.
Vice President, Quality and Compliance
As vice president of Quality and Compliance, Simon leads world-class quality and compliance systems within the new organization. With more than 20 years of quality assurance (QA) experience supporting pharmaceutical industry clients, Simon was previously the global director of QA and Regulatory Affairs for Quest Diagnostics Clinical Trials. This included managing a global program of quality and compliance audits across technical and non-technical business processes, hosting client and regulatory audits, managing client QA relationships, and supporting the business in meeting the industry's high expectations of quality.
Simon earned his Bachelor of Science from the Nottingham Trent University.
Vice President, General Manager, Genomics Laboratories
As vice president of Genomics Laboratories, Kellie leads our genomics efforts and organization. Kellie previously led Genomic Operations for Expression Analysis, an organization specializing in next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics services supporting the biopharmaceutical clinical trial and research market. Kellie brings more than 15 years of commercial expertise, scientific aptitude and strategic vision in the genomics space to the organization.
Kellie earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware.
Vice President, General Manager, Asia-Pacific Operations
As vice president of Asia-Pacific Operations, Jenny is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations for the organization in Asia-Pacific. Previously, Jenny was vice president and general manager of IQVIA's Central Laboratories for the Asia-Pacific laboratories. Based in Singapore, Jenny brings more than 18 years of experience to the joint venture leadership team, which includes various leadership positions at IQVIA and LabCorp.
Jenny Zhang received her Master of Science and Master of Business Administration from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
